About the Author
Joseph Russomanno is associate professor in the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. He has worked as a news reporter in radio and television and as a television news writer, newscast producer and executive producer at stations in St. Louis and Denver. He has received several awards for his broadcast work. His teaching and research focus on broadcast issues and First Amendment law. Susan Dente Ross is professor at Washington State University where she serves as the associate dean for research in the College of Liberal Arts. She conducts research on the freedoms of speech and press and the ways in which these rights can help advance greater global equity and justice. She also is a leader in international initiatives to increase the ability of media to contribute to conflict transformation and resolution. Amy Reynolds is the Thomas O. & Darlene Ryder II Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research at the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication. She also co-directs the Press Law & Democracy Project at the Manship School. Her research focuses on dissent, First Amendment history, and breaking news. She has written or edited seven books. Prior to becoming a professor, she worked as a reporter at newspapers and television stations.

Useful and beneficial for people interested in how the law works in Journalism and Mass Communication

A very useful book! I took it for my Media Law class at ASU's Walter Cronkite school and it's a really informative book. It explains things in a very easy-to-understand way, which I appreciated, as I had no background in law knowledge at all.
